Color Me: In the Pink

While blue firmly remains my favorite color (hence the name of this blog), I can't help but smile with girly glee when I see something pretty in pink. A ripe strawberry. A teacup. A dress. A little car. The more unexpected, the better.

So, with that in mind, here's some soft rosy eye candy:

Lit Up

I've been looking for years for a sparkly chandelier to replace the "boob light" (as the fabulous Tommy Smythe once said) in the nook in our bedroom.

I considered a number of options, but for one reason or another I never pulled the trigger. Probably because most of the ones I liked I had seen online, and I was hesitant about buying something I hadn't seen in person. I'm weird like that.

Houzz Keeping

I was checking out of my daily reads, designstILes, recently when I came across this gorgeous room:

I had to know more about it about, and after poking around online for more time than I care to admit, I finally found it -- and in the process discovered Houzz. This wonderful resource lets you browse rooms and save your favorites to an "ideabook." You can even note what it is about a space that you particularly like. The site is organized by room and by location. 

While I'm excited about discovering all it has to offer, I also fear it will become a serious time suck.
